CURRENCY CONVERTER

Near the foot of the hill, a passage leads into a tree-shaded garden court in back of a stone building dating from 1812. More a place to spend a pleasant hour or two than a spot for serious dining, there's jazz most nights and weekend afternoons, and classical chamber groups Monday to Friday during lunch hours in the warm-weather months. Food takes second place, but the kitchen does well with its pizzas and crepes, the latter with both sweet and savory fillings (including lobster). Other choices are soups, omelets, pastas, salads, and sandwiches. There's a covered people-watching porch in front (with effective heat lamps in cold weather), and dining rooms and a bar inside. This is a great place for a leisurely brunch of crepes.

Main courses C$12-C$16 (US$8.55-US$11).Open: Apr-Nov Mon-Fri 11:30am-3am, Sat-Sun 10am-3am.Closed Dec-Mar.Credit Cards: MC, V.Métro: Place d'Armes or Champ de Mars.
