Club Soda -- This long-established club's new quarters are even larger than their old location on avenue du Parc. It remains one of the prime destinations for performers just below the megastar level and is a principal venue for the "Just for Laughs" festival. Performers are given a stage in a hall that seats several hundred fans. Five bars pump audience enthusiasm. Musical choices hop all over the charts -- folk, rock, blues, country, Afro-Cuban, heavy metal -- you name it. Acts for the annual jazz festival are booked here, too.
