NIGHTLIFE: THE PERFORMING ARTS Frommer
Centre Bell

Initially called the Centre Molson, this remains the home of the Montréal Canadiens and hosts big international rock and pop stars on the order of Bruce Springsteen and Avril Lavigne, as well as such dissimilar attractions as Disney's World On Ice. These stars used to be booked into the old Forum but are now diverted to this sparkling facility, which opened in 1996. Most people agree that it's vastly superior to the old Forum on all but the nostalgia scale, and the location is better. Over 21,000 can be seated. The box office is open Monday through Friday 10am to 6pm (or to 9pm on days of events). Ticket prices vary greatly, depending on the attraction.
