As if to underscore the odds against success for fledgling nightspots, this club took over the site of what used to be Kokino, one of the hottest-of-the-hot clubs a scant couple of years ago. That hasn't bothered the droves of gorgeous girls and hunky guys -- 500 total on most nights -- who eye each other across the thumping dance floor. Salsa is big, mixed with soul and house. Get there before the glow fades, and dress right to get past the door. The club is open Friday and Saturday from 10pm. And last we saw, Tuesday was Gay Men's Night.
