This branch was the first foray out of its home area for Québec City's long-established family-owned department store. Most Montréalers had never heard of it, but that changed fast as attention was quickly captured by the fashions that fill the refurbished first three floors of a building that once housed the old venerable Simpson's department store. One guidebook describes the store as "swanky," but the actuality is closer to the "softer side of Sears," with good prices.
