CURRENCY CONVERTER

An inhabitant of the rue St-Paul antiques row, this is the humblest eating place of the lot, with exposed brick-and-stone walls. And, because it caters mostly to homefolks rather than travelers, reliable versions of native Québecois cooking are always available, including, but not limited to, pea soup, poutine, and fèves au lard (beans cooked in lard). Essentially a slightly upgraded luncheonette, it serves sandwiches, salads, and pastries at all hours, backed by full bar service.

Most menu items under C$12 (US$8.55), including table d'hôte.Open: Daily 7am-11pm.Credit Cards: AE, MC, V.
