CURRENCY CONVERTER

This bistro is a local landmark, opened in 1964 near La Bourse (stock exchange) and run by three generations of the same family. Naturally, at lunch it's packed with stock-exchange members. The owners serve what they call la cuisine bourgeoise (comfort food). Waiters bring around bowls of appetizers, like celery rémoulade, to get you started. You can follow with sweetbreads with morels, duck breast with cèpe mushrooms, classic cassoulet, or pot-au-feu. A delight is sole filet with a sauce made from Pouilly wine and crème fraîche. Beaujolais goes beautifully with this hearty food.

Main courses 24€-30€.Open: Mon-Sat noon-2:15pm and 7-9:45pm.Closed 3 weeks in Aug.Reservations required.Credit Cards: AE, MC, V.Métro: Bourse.
