With 9 rooms and 650 seats, this is France's largest pub, offering 200 brands of beer, 15 on draft. The battered decor consists of leather booths, faded gilt-framed mirrors, hanging lamps, and a stuffed parrot in a gilded cage. The atmosphere is usually quiet, relaxed, and posh. Featured beers change frequently but usually include Amstel, various Belgian brews, Whitbread, and Pimm's No. 1. If frat houses turn you on, it gets really fun from 10: 30pm to 4am. You can also order food here at any time, with set menus costing from 14€ to 24€ ($12 to $22) each.
Open: May-Sept daily 10am-10pm; Oct-Apr daily 10am-5:30pm.Free admission.Métro: Jussieu.
