In this Art Deco building built for the 1931 French Colonial exhibition, you'll find an extensive collection of central African art that's especially rich in carved masks, carved statues, and aboriginal bark paintings, as well as some magnificent bronzes from Benin. There are also some art objects from the Pacific islands and a limited collection of woven carpets and gold jewelry from the Magreb region of Arab-speaking North Africa. In the cellars are aquariums and terrariums containing crocodiles, iguanas, and tortoises.
