Lido de Paris

The Lido's $15-million current production, C'est Magique, is a dramatic reworking of the classic Parisian cabaret show, with eye-popping special effects and new themes, both nostalgic and contemporary, including aerial and aquatic ballets using more than 60,000 gallons of water. The show, the most expensive ever in Europe, uses 80 performers, $4 million in costumes, and a $2 million lighting design with lasers. There's even an ice rink that magically appears and disappears. The legendary topless Bluebell Girls are still here, however. Now that celebrated chef Paul Bocuse is a consultant, the cuisine is better than ever.
