Moulin Rouge

This is a camp classic. Toulouse-Lautrec immortalized the Moulin Rouge and its habitués in his works, but he'd probably have a hard time recognizing it today. Colette created a scandal by giving an onstage kiss to Mme de Morny, but it's harder to shock today's audiences. Try to get a table, as the view is much better on the main floor than from the bar. The emphasis on the strip routines and sexiness of the Belle Epoque and Paris between the wars keeps drawing crowds. Handsome men and women, virtually all topless, contribute to the appeal. The finale usually includes 2 dozen of the belles ripping loose with a topless cancan.

Open: Dinner nightly at 7pm; shows nightly at 9 and 11pm.Cover 82€-90€ including champagne; dinner and show from 125€. Seats at the bar, cover 63€, including 2 drinks.Métro: Blanche.
