At least within the gay vocabulary, Sunday nights in Paris could be dull until a group of nightlife entrepreneurs gained access to the sleek basement-level interior of an otherwise mostly straight nightclub in the shadow of City Hall. Beginning at 6pm every Sunday, the venue becomes flamboyantly extroverted, even defiantly so, thanks to a clientele of mostly gay men who flirt, dance, and cavort on a glossy-looking dance floor till around 2am, theoretically in time to recover for a productive work week.
