The fish served in this bright, clean fish-and-chips restaurant is fresh every day; the quality is high and the prices are low. In the view of London's diehard chippie devotees, it's the best in town. The fish is most often served battered and deep-fried, but you can also order it grilled. Chips are made from fresh potatoes cut by hand -- quite tasty. The menu is wisely limited. Students from the Bloomsbury area flock to the place.

Fish platters £8-£17 ($13-$27).Open: Mon-Sat noon-2:30pm and 5:30-10:30pm.Reservations recommended.Credit Cards: AE, DC, MC, V.Tube: King's Cross, St. Pancras, or Russell Sq.
