In the airy front room of the Gore Hotel , this restaurant features a light Mediterranean cuisine appreciated by the music and media crowd that keeps the place hopping. In an artfully simple setting of wood floors, potted plants, and framed art, you can dine on such dishes as tiger prawns and scallops with stuffed peppers; leek cannelloni with wild-mushroom-and-barley stuffing; rare peppered tuna with apple-and-herb salad; and, if available, a rhubarb crumble based loosely on an old-fashioned British dessert. Service isn't particularly fast, and if you're not a member of the club (or a guest at the hotel), you'll have to reserve 24 hours in advance.
