These markets have been converted into walk-in stands with independent dealers. The term "antique" covers items from oil paintings to, say, the 1894 edition of the Encyclopedia Britannica. Also sold are antique jewelry; silver; gold; maps and prints; bronzes and ivories; arms and armor; Victorian and Edwardian toys; furniture; Art Nouveau and Art Deco items; antique lace; scientific instruments; craft tools; and Asian, Persian, and Islamic pottery, porcelain, miniatures, and antiquities. There's a cafe in each building. Check out the 1950s-style Victory Cafe on Davies Street for their homemade cakes.
