CURRENCY CONVERTER

On the western waterfront road leading to the most congested part of the City of Hamilton, this family-style choice is a simple, friendly place to sit down for a meal. The atmosphere is bright, airy, and casual; many guests of the nearby Hamilton Princess head here.

Monty's serves a variety of dishes, with an emphasis on English and classic Bermudian fare. Hot dishes include bangers and mash; Angus beef with mashed potatoes; and curried chicken; plus more exotic choices like smoked salmon with mango sauce and pumpernickel bread. There's a selection of hot and cold sandwiches and burgers. This is a great choice for breakfast if you're in the mood to venture out. Stop by on Sunday morning for a traditional Bermudian breakfast of codfish and potatoes. The food -- solid, reliable fare -- rises above mediocre without ever becoming superlative.

Sandwiches and burgers $8.50; lunch $7-$15; main courses $17-$26.Open: Mon-Fri 7:30-2:30pm; Sat 7:30am-1pm; Mon-Sat 6-10pm.Reservations recommended Fri-Sat.Credit Cards: AE, MC, V.Bus: 7 or 8.
