The tanned and taut from nearby Kits Beach drop into the Well as the sun goes down, and often don't emerge until the next day. Monday and Tuesday there's comedy; not too long ago Robin Williams dropped by and told a few jokes. DJs keep things groovy the rest of the week. Regulars line up on the patio counter to people-watch, while inside there's a tiny dance floor for demonstrating once again that you can get down in beach sandals. The second, downtown Well (888 Nelson; tel. 604/638-6070) entertains much a similar jock(ette) crowd, but with a large dance floor and disco ball.
