CURRENCY CONVERTER

Sandwiches are available here, including a good croque monsieur, but the reason to seek out this humble spot in Outremont is the splendid ice creams and sorbets. This artisan glacier makes its own ice cream, rich with fruits, nuts, and caramel . . . whatever is fresh and available and strikes their fancy. Flavors and pairings that don't show up in many places are offered, including pear, maple taffy, passion fruit, chocolate-orange, and vanilla-raspberry. There's always a line, and only a few tables inside and benches outside.

Most items under C$8 (US$5.70).Open: Daily 7am-midnight.Closed Jan-Feb.Credit Cards: Not accepted.Métro: Outremont.
