NIGHTLIFE: THE CLUB & MUSIC SCENE Frommer
Fais Do-Do

Most nights of the week this architecturally unique New Orleans-style nightspot hosts jazz, blues, and the occasional rock combo. It's located in a once-upscale suburb west of Downtown, but the surrounding neighborhood has become somewhat sketchy. Originally built as a bank, the building has gone through several jazz-club incarnations. It's even rumored that Miles Davis once graced the stage. The club offers great music in a memorable atmosphere, as well as tasty Cajun and soul food from the busy kitchen.
