Airy and comfy, this brick room, on a busy alleyway in the heart of resurgent Old Town Pasadena, has withstood the challenge of a Starbucks that moved in a block away. The menu--with smoothies, soup, and desserts, in addition to a wide variety of coffee drinks--and the friendly service keep people coming back. The post-Haring art on the walls contributes to the distinctive character of the place, which has been used for scenes in A Very Brady Sequel and Beverly Hills, 90210.
