One of L.A.'s most celebrated bookshops, selling mainstream and small-press books and hosting regular book signings and author nights. Book Soup is a great browsing shop; it has a large selection of showbiz books and an extensive outdoor news and magazine stand. The owners recently annexed an adjacent cafe space so they can better cater to hungry intellectuals. The Book Soup Bistro has a bar, a charming outdoor patio, and a classical bistro menu.
