Founded in 1977, this was America's first (and remains its foremost) theater ensemble devoted solely to works addressing gay and lesbian issues. The company presents five main-stage shows and a dozen studio productions of new and classic works each year. The theater is 1 block east of the 16th Street/Mission BART station.
