NIGHTLIFE: THE CLUB & MUSIC SCENE Frommer
Dead Beat Club

Located southeast of downtown, this club features four dance floors and seven bars scattered around a bizarre building--it's easy to get lost here. The offbeat decor and diverse crowd, in conjunction with the loud music, make for near sensory overload.

The Dead Beat's prolific proprietors own several other clubs that attract similar hordes of trendsetting 20-somethings: a place of worship turned dance club called The Church, 1160 Lincoln St. (tel. 303/832-3528); the hipster hangout known as The Funky Buddha, 776 Lincoln St. (tel. 303/832-5075); and the cavernous Vinyl, 1082 Broadway (tel. 303/860-8469).

4040 E. Evans Ave.Phone: 303/758-6853.Cover free to $10.
