This brightly painted stand in the middle of a busy road attracts a varied crowd, from young pony-tailed Europeans to bikers. If you don't mind a bit of car exhaust with your snapper sandwich, consider this North Dade landmark. The food is made on the premises and includes a great tuna salad, served in a pita with tons of crisp vegetables, including alfalfa sprouts, tomato, and lettuce. The hummus is also superb, although garlic lovers might want a hint more spark. You can also get a fresh smoothie or vegetable juice made on the spot.

Sandwiches and salads $4-$6.Open: Mon-Sat 8:30am-6:30pm.Credit Cards: Not accepted.
