Le Festival's contemporary pink awning hangs over one of Miami's most traditional Spanish-style buildings, hinting at the unusual combination of cuisine and decor that awaits inside. The modern dining rooms, enlivened with New French features and furnishings, belie the traditional highlights of a well-planned menu.

Shrimp and crab cocktails, fresh pâtés, and an unusual cheese soufflé are star appetizers. Both meat and fish are either simply seared with herbs and spices or doused in wine and cream sauces. Dessert can be a delight if you plan ahead: Grand Marnier and chocolate soufflés are individually prepared and must be ordered at the same time as the entrees. There's also a wide selection of other homemade sweets. If you go on a Monday, you'll get a complimentary soufflé. Not a bad way to start the week.

Main courses $30-$60.Open: Mon-Fri 11:45am-2:30pm; Mon-Thurs 6-10:30pm, Fri-Sat 6-11pm.Reservations required for dinner.Credit Cards: AE, DC, DISC, MC, V.
