Way back when, during South Beach's halcyon days, before Madonna became a mother and stopped her clubbing ways, Liquid was the Studio 54 of the south, and everyone who was anyone showed up here to show off. Then one of the club's owners was arrested for his alleged "family" connections and Liquid dried up. In late 2001, Liquid was resurrected by a completely new owner in a completely different space. Without Madonna, however, Liquid is just your generic dance club, just a ghost of a legend that no one who experienced the original has any desire to visit.
