Affiliated with the national music industry magazine, this mammoth dance club, bar, recording studio, and live music venue is much cooler than its chain-ish name implies. Although at press time the live acts haven't necessarily been major headliners (Macy Gray was supposed to kick off a tour here, but then canceled with no reason), the acoustics in this multilevel club are exceptional, as is the Saturday night DJ-ed dance scene and Sunday afternoon, mostly gay Tea Dance Disco parties. The club's first-floor patio restaurant is also a great alternative to the thumping club vibe.
