Like its upscale Peabody sister, Dux, Capriccio virtually ensures something different from visit to visit as its menu changes seasonally. The entrees might include bucatini tossed with chunks of mesquite-grilled chicken and mushrooms in a slightly garlicky white-wine/pesto sauce or pan-seared tuna with braised fennel and radicchio served with lentil flan and a buttery citrus sauce. Chefs in the exhibition kitchen also make pizzas and fresh breads in mesquite-burning ovens. There's an extensive wine list. The warm decor and the large amounts of natural wood in the dining room give the restaurant a somewhat refined atmosphere, although it's still more casual than Dux. Capriccio also serves a champagne Sunday brunch (leg of lamb, prime rib, you-peel shrimp, smoked salmon, mussels, crepes, eggs benedict, omelets, and unlimited champagne).
Main courses $18-$38 (most pizza and pasta dishes priced below $15); Sun champagne brunch buffet $35 adults, $15 children 5-12.Open: Tues-Sun 6:30-11pm; Sun brunch 11am-2pm.Reservations recommended.Credit Cards: AE, DC, DISC, MC, V.From I-4, take Exit 74A, Sand Lake Rd./Hwy. 528, east to International Dr., then south. Hotel is on the left across from the Convention Center.Free self- and validated valet parking.
