Pastificio Cameli is a cut above what is typical for East Atlanta both in style and substance. The exposed stone walls and soft lighting make a nice setting, romantic enough for an intimate dinner, but casual just the same. The homemade pastas are exceptional for a small neighborhood restaurant, and you'll be happy with just about anything on the list. Especially good is the tender ricotta, spinach, and Gorgonzola-filled ravioli topped with a diced tomato sauce. The entrees are more hit and miss, but the wine selection is decent and affordable, with several possibilities available by the glass. The deck out back is a good choice if you have kids along.

Pastas $9.75-$11.95; entrees $13.95-$16.95.Open: Sun and Tues-Thurs 5pm-10pm; Fri-Sat 5pm-10:30pm.Reservations not accepted.Credit Cards: AE, DISC, MC, V.MARTA: Inman Park and bus no. 107 or 34.
