Really more of an elegant cocktail lounge than a dance club, Tongue & Groove attracts a chic upscale crowd--an older group than at many Buckhead establishments. The spacious interior is on the plush side, with glossy oak floors and lofty ceilings. The deejayed dance music has a different theme every night--everything from R&B to European pop to Latin dance tunes. The bar food is out of the ordinary (sushi, yakitori skewers, wontons, etc.), and there's also a wide selection of fine wines and champagnes. T & G enforces a strict dress code, so lose the jeans, caps, and sport shoes. You must be 23 to get in. Note: On Friday and Saturday nights, the Buckhead streets surrounding T & G are mobbed with revelers, and numerous nightspots in the area make this an ideal base for club-hopping.
