If you haven't had a good glass of Guinness since your last trip to Dublin, Fado' (Gaelic for "long ago") is the place to pause for a pint or two. The interior is divided into five pub areas, each one distinct from the next: a cottage pub with a peat-burning fireplace, a Victorian pub with dark wood and stained glass, and so on. It's a pleasant, unhurried atmosphere, but only in the early evening before the serious revelers invade. After that, it's loud and crowded. There's traditional Irish or Celtic music several days a week, and the Irish fare is good, especially the boxty (the Irish version of a potato pancake) and the fish and chips in Guinness batter.
