The $15-million Lakewood Amphitheatre accommodates 19,000 people--7,000 reserved seats plus a sloping lawn that holds an additional 12,000. Needless to say, this is a vast facility used for major shows. Eric Clapton, Elton John, Pearl Jam, and Aerosmith have all performed here. There are picnic tables with umbrellas on the grounds, and though you can't bring in food or drink, a wide variety of refreshments is available, including beer, champagne, fruit and cheese, sandwiches, pizza, and, of course, Coca-Cola.
