Half of the Sunday brunch experience here is the head-turning view of Makena Beach, Molokini islet, and Kahoolawe island. The other half is the fabled Sunday buffet, bountiful and sumptuous, spread over several tables: pasta, omelets, cheeses, pastries, sashimi, crab legs, smoked salmon, fresh Maui produce, and a smashing array of ethnic and continental foods. The dinner menu changes regularly; recent winners are the steamed Manila Clams Scampi with roasted garlic, diced tomatoes, and fried basil; Dungeness crab and goat cheese wonton with Maui onion guacamole; and the Prince Court Sampler with Kona lobster cakes, kalua duck lumpia, and sugar-cane-speared grilled prawns. Game entrees (venison, rack of lamb, breast of duck) come in highly acclaimed preparations, such as poha (gooseberry) compote and black cherry Cabernet sauce.
Main courses $17-$30; Fri prime rib and seafood buffet $38 ($23 child); Sun brunch $36.Open: Sun 9am-1pm; daily 6-9:30pm.Reservations recommended.Credit Cards: AE, MC, V.
