Sandal Tree

It's unusual for a resort shop to draw local customers on a regular basis (add time and parking costs to that pair of sandals), but the Sandal Tree attracts a flock of footwear fanatics who come here from throughout the islands for rubber thongs and Top-Siders, sandals and dressy pumps, athletic shoes and hats, designer footwear, and much more. Sandal Tree also carries a generous selection of Mephisto and Arche comfort sandals, Donald Pliner, Anne Klein, Charles Jourdan, and beach wear and casual footwear for all tastes. Accessories range from fashionable knapsacks to avant-garde geometrical handbags -- for town and country, day and evening, kids, women, and men. Prices are realistic, too.

2435 Kaanapali Pkwy, In Whalers Village, Kaanapali. Phone: 808/667-5330.Also in the Grand Wailea Resort, 3850 Wailea Alanui Dr., Wailea; and in the Hyatt Regency Maui, 200 Nohea Kai Dr.
