Karl Gottling's shop specializes in Asian antique furniture, but you can also find smaller carvings, precious stones, jewelry, opium weights, and finds in all sizes. To give you an idea of the range of possibilities here: On a recent visit, we saw a cabinet with 350-year-old doors, a 17th-century Buddha lending an air of serenity next to a 150-year-old Chinese cabinet, and Ming dynasty ceramics. The prices vary as widely, from carved wooden apples for $15 to a Persian rug for $65,000.
