NIGHTLIFE: THE CLUB & MUSIC SCENE

Anyone who remembers the old rock-and-roll joint Tramps won't believe the swank Op Art club that fills the space now. It's so fab, in fact, that Mary J. Blige used it as a video set. The sunken bar must be the coolest in town. Despite the fabulousness of the place, Centro-Fly is quite welcoming. The place lures top-notch deejay talent ranging from Junior Sanchez to Dimitri from Paris to Grandmaster Flash. Depending on the night, look for deep house, hip-hop, or another edgy music mix. The Friday-night funky-soulful British house party GBH (www.gbh.tv), New York's longest-running house party, may be the best reason to come.
