Outfitted like a futuristic canteen, Hudson Bar, in the Hudson Hotel glows from below with an underlit floor, while the low ceiling wears a Crayola-like fresco by Francesco Clemente. In between you'll find a tony, older-than-you'd-expect crowd. The one-of-a-kind cocktail menu is terrific, too. Enter at street level, on the Ninth Avenue side of the hotel's main entrance; dress well to avoid attitude.
