NIGHTLIFE: THE CLUB & MUSIC SCENE

Despite its less-than-appealing location, this eye-popping club underneath the Brooklyn Bridge is a blast on any night, thanks to a wild assault from giant multimedia projection screens that pushes Fun over the experimental edge into colorful, high-tech haywire. The result is entertaining and upbeat, in an anything-goes kind of way. The crowd is young, hip, outgoing, and -- for once -- not uniformed in basic black. The program changes depending on the night, but expect an eclectic mix of soul, funk, hip-hop, techno, R&B, break beats, and the like.
