The best-loved toy store in America was designed with an eye for fun: The elevator is shaped like a huge toy soldier, and there are plenty of hands-on displays to keep the little ones occupied for hours. (Although the new Toys"R"Us, below, gives FAO a real run for its money.) Entire areas are devoted to specific toy makers (Lego, Fisher Price, Star Wars action figures, Barbie). You and the kids will find plenty of affordable little gifts to take home as souvenirs (the front-left corner specializes in pre-wrapped gifts for moms and dads on business trips).
