Bizarro Italian Café
1307 N. 46th St

tel.: 206/545-7327
Cuisine: Italian
Price Category: Moderate

The name certainly sums up this very casual Italian restaurant where a party atmosphere reigns most nights. The tiny room is filled with mismatched thrift-store furnishings and strange things hanging from the walls and ceiling. Also around the restaurant are numerous paintings of the namesake "Bizarro," a character who looks a bit like a deranged cook. It's sort of like eating in someone's attic. The food, however, is good and cheap, and there are always lots of interesting specials on the blackboard. You'll find Bizarro at the west end of the Wallingford neighborhood just off Stone Way North.

Main courses $13-$17.Open: Daily 5-10pm (summer, Fri and Sat until 11pm).Reservations accepted Sun-Thurs for 6 or more people.Credit Cards: AE, DISC, MC, V.
