Every harbor town has a rowdy, raucous, and sudsy dive with whiffs of spilled beer and ample doses of iodine from the nearby sea, and in Nassau, this is it. Most of its clients are either local residents, or workers aboard one of the fishing and cargo boats that bob at anchor in nearby Nassau Harbor. The setting is a cavernous room lined with murals of underwater life, all within a cellar that's usually several degrees cooler than the baking sidewalks outside. There's live music some evenings after 11pm, and a short list of two-fisted platters that includes grilled or fried snapper or grouper, steaks, burgers, and sandwiches.
