Located in the trendy Pearl District, Portland's oldest microbrewery was founded in 1984 and is housed in the city's oldest industrial building (where workers once produced rope for sailing ships). The ivy-draped old brick building has loads of character, just right for enjoying craft ales, of which there are usually four to seven on tap on any given night (including several cask-conditioned ales). The pub also makes great pizza.
