This is the most Americanized hangout in Grand-Case. Breakfast is a daily highlight, attracting beach boys, surfers, Americans and American wannabes, lots of repeat visitors, and even a handful of cruise ship passengers. You'll dine within a blue-and-white seafront enclave that's the personal domain of Boston-bred Mike Petone and his wife, Marilyn. (He cooks, she waits tables and tends bar.) Breakfast showcases an all-American medley of bacon, eggs, ham, and toast. Lunch might feature chili, Caesar salad, pepper steak sandwiches, and fish soup. Happy hour, Tuesday to Saturday from 4 to 6pm, provides one of the genuinely sociable venues in Grand-Case. Dinners are relatively free form, consisting of whatever the owners feel like cooking that night, as filtered through their perceptions of how busy the evening might be. If it's available, try the linguine in clam sauce -- it's usually excellent.

Breakfast platters 8€-10€; lunch and dinner main courses 9€-17€.Open: Tues-Sat 9am-7pm; Sun 9am-11pm.Reservations not necessary.Credit Cards: Not Accepted.
