Hôtel des Invalides/Napoleon's Tomb

The setting for this hip nightclub is a small railway station adjacent to the Père-Lachaise cemetery built in the 1890s and decommissioned by the SNCF in the 1950s. You're likely to have a radically different experience here depending on the night. Tuesday features whatever amateur group wants to volunteer; as many as 20 different bands -- some talented, others less so -- perform. Wednesday has electronic live and recorded music, Thursday reggae, Friday ska, Saturday focuses on live bands from everywhere, especially Africa, and Sunday has salsa and merengue. The walls are often hung with paintings from temporary art exhibitions (they're for sale), and every Sunday morning, beginning at 11am, there's some kind of political forum and debate.
