Good food, reasonable prices, fresh ingredients, and authentic Tuscan family recipes attract a neverending stream of patrons to this eatery founded by owner and head chef Giancarlo Caldesi. The extensive menu includes a wide array of pasta, antipasti, fish, and meat dishes. Start with the excellent insalata Caldesi, made with tomatoes slow-roasted in garlic and rosemary oil, and served with mozzarella flown in from Tuscany. Pasta dishes include an especially flavor-filled homemade tortelloni stuffed with salmon. Monkfish and prawns are flavored with wild fennel and fresh basil, or you might sample the tender duck breast à L'Orange, steeped in white wine, honey, thyme, and rosemary.
