The modern, gray Renaissance Building features several restaurants, including a coffee shop, a Chinese restaurant, and a beer hall. Best for a meal is this informal Italian restaurant on the second floor serving pizza, pasta, and such main dishes as sautéed scallops, tuna fish with tomato and capers, and grilled veal with vegetables and mozzarella. An especially good deal is the ¥900 set lunch, available until 2:30pm and offering a choice of daily pasta or pizza, soup, bread, salad, and coffee. There's an English-language dinner menu.

Pasta and pizza ¥950-¥1,500; meat dishes ¥1,200-¥1,800; set lunches ¥900-¥2,500. Open: Daily 11:30am-2:30pm and 5:30-9:15pm (last order). Credit Cards: AE, DC, JCB, MC, V. On Shiokoji Dori, a 1-min. walk east of Kyoto Station's Karasuma Central (north) exit.
