This reasonably priced kaiseki restaurant was converted from a private home more than 20 years ago. I recommend the Hisago fixed-price lunch for ¥3,000 offered on the English-language menu, which is a variety of seasonal food served in individual dishes that stack neatly on top of one another to form a gourd; you take the bowls apart to eat. The atmosphere here is relaxed and comfortable.
Set dinners ¥4,500-¥6,500; set lunches ¥2,500-¥3,300.
Open: Daily 11:40am-3pm and 5-8:30pm (last order).
