This is a haven for visitors to Daitokuji Temple and other sights in northern Kyoto who may crave a real Reuben, pastrami, or grilled cheese sandwich. There are also bagels and bagel sandwiches, spaghetti, and salads on the English menu. The lunch special, available daily (except Sundays and holidays) until 2:30pm, is a great deal--or maybe you just want to take a break here over an herbal tea, beer, or a pitcher of margaritas. Whatever you do, don't forget the New York cheesecake.
