This cheerful, comfortably crowded place offers pleasant rooftop dining with an ocean view if you're lucky enough to snag a seat. Just off the Pacific Beach boardwalk, the cafe sees a lot of foot traffic and socializing locals. Those in the know go for great breakfasts--till 2pm on weekends, when there's a make-your-own bloody mary bar. Choices include skillets of huevos rancheros (eggs Mexican style) and breakfast burritos, French toast, and omelets. During happy hour (Mon-Sat 4-7pm), you'll find bargain prices on drinks and finger-lickin' appetizers. The rest of the menu is adequate, running the gamut from fish tacos to tequila fajita chicken pasta to all-American burgers.
