All the hobnobbing of an elite dining club comes at a moderate price at the Armani Cafe. It's nothing more than a circular counter in the middle of Armani's ever-fashionable (and expensive) clothing store, a few newer tables on a mezzanine, and a few sidewalk seats when the weather's right. But the fare and upscale casual atmosphere are enough to lure folks who have only lunch, not a new designer suit, on their minds. Local favorites include the homemade antipasto misto, panini, salads, and daily pizza specials. There's also a nice variety of pricey lunch entrees, such as pasta specials. When you're seated inside, you get a large dose of attitude, which you can choose to numb with a stiff cocktail.

Main courses $9-$17.Open: Mon-Sat 11:30am-4:30pm; Sun noon-4:30pm.Reservations not accepted.Credit Cards: AE, DC, DISC, MC, V.Bus: All Union Square buses.
